My sister is getting married in August. I still can't believe it! She wanted me to make her wedding dress but we discovered that she fits into our grandma's wedding dress from the 50's and it looks so beautiful on her. She still wanted me to have a part in making her dress so we decided that I should rework the dress and update it for today. The picture above represents what I have done so far. The dress originally had lace sleeves and was previously floor-length. Now I think it looks a lot more modern. She is having a summer wedding so it's perfect that it is now above the knee. I think it looks a lot more flirty and fun. I'll have to find a picture from my grandma's wedding so you can see a before and after!
